AU team arrives in Darfur to assess situation and carry out own investigation

AL FASHIR, DARFUR - The African union high level panel which was assigned by the African Union to evaluate the peace process in Darfur arrives to Al Fasher today. The panel will hold consultations with sides concerning the Darfur issues.

Yesterday a delegation headed by the former South African President, Thabo Mbeki, met the vice president Ali Osman Mohammed Thaha, judicial organs and political forces.
